Stampede Days 2009

Once I got the rodeo program done for the year, we had a great time at Stampede Days this year.

Friday night at the rodeo Ella rode a sheep for the first time! She was sooooo excited!!! When it came time for her sheep to leave the shoot, it hesitated and then suddenly jumped. Needless to say she ended up on her face right out of the shoot. She was not very happy for awhile, but as Dave carried her back to the grand-stand he convinced her that it was fun, and that she needed to try it again. We'll have to see I guess.... I guess it was worth it, cause she got a bag of prizes just for riding!
The next day we went to the parade on Main Street. It goes without saying that our parade is definetely a small town parade, but it was a lot of fun. Ella got to ride in the parade with her preschool this year. The morning of the parade Ella asked if she got a prize for riding in the parade (because of Mutton Busting) and when I told her no, she almost wouldn't ride. It was a good thing that a bunch of her friends from school were there to ride with, or I don't think she would have gone!! Little stinker...
