Memorial Day

This year we went and spent a lot of time putting flowers on graves for Memorial Day.  Ella got really into it this year, the wind was blowing, so she insisted on sitting the flowers back up that had tipped over.  She also enjoyed putting her own flowers on graves.  The first place we stopped was at the Rigby Pioneer Cemetary to visit my dad's grave.
Next went up to the Ririe Cemetary to visit the graves of my Grandma and Grandpa Nielson.  On the way there we had to play "Bushel and a Peck" because my Grandma used to sing it to Ella whenever she went to visit the nursing home.  That is how she remembers my Grandma the best.

Last we went to the Victor Cemetary to visit the graves of all of the Boyle and Drake side of the family.  It was fun to take the kids and get to show them where all our family is buried.

It's nice to have a day to remember everyone. :)
Your page is messed up, like your template is too wide for your background?

That is great that you took the time to visit each one! :)

Glad to see you are back! I love the rodeo pictures. Good job. It would have been there to share Memorial Day with you. My kids have never really done Memorial Day like that because we don't live by any of the graves of family. I guess we should have gone anyway. Congrats to Ella. She looked Beautiful, as always.
